After successfully running the battery and jumper test. (Spindle motor runs forward at a relatively slow speed with a 1.5VDC battery, spindle would run nearly full speed with a 9V battery)

The VFD should be connected to Acorn as follows:
VFD COM to Acorn Spindle Analog COM
VFD AVI to Acorn Spindle Analog OUT

VFD Y1B to Acorn Power Supply COM
VFD Y1C to Acorn INPUT "X". Input "X" is assigned SpindleOK in the Wizard
(Replace "X" with the number of the Acorn Output you are using)

VFD X1 to Acorn Output "X" NORMALLY OPEN terminal. Output "X" is assigned to SpinFWD in the Wizard
VFD COM to Acorn Output "X" COM terminal
(Replace "X" with the number of the Acorn Input you are using)
Pull the connector off the output on the relay board you are connecting to so you can see which terminals are Normally Open, Common, Normally Closed

Also, PLEASE post a Fresh report so we can see how you have assigned everything and make sure you have that correct.
Remember to always post a fresh report

Disconnect the VFD from Acorn and test it as outlined in the video. Use a simple 1.5vdc battery across the 0-10vdc VFD input - to ACM and positive to AVI
Then jumper using a wire from ACM(VFD common) and your Forward terminal. Power up the VFD and the spindle motor should run in the forward direction provided you have it programmed correctly
I put ACM to - of battery
AVI to + of 1.5vdc aka D battery and nothing

It just says on the VFD display H 61.0

Hey just realized you changed what you said on two posts.
I changed p064 and p065 to value 1

First said 1.5 battery - to ACM AND + TO AVI

Only thing is the VFD displays H 61.0

But most recent post you say...

suggest you make these parameter changes and rerun the battery/jumper test:
VFD Programming:
ONLY change these two Parameters
p064=1
p065=1
Retest with the battery and the jumper
1.5VDC battery across VFD COM (battery -), and VFD AVI (battery +)
Jumper from VFD COM to VFD X1 (Forward Terminal)
Power up the VFD
This alone with the VFD powered up should turn the spindle on in the forward direction and spin relatively slowly.

Is VFD COM same as ACM or do I use the DCM from the VFD?

I wished I could clearly see the wiring diagram in the manual. It turns out very faint in the PDF

What terminals does the VFD actually have. Your previous picture was taken at a low resolution and could not see detail or enlarge it. I was going by the link of the manual you provided. IS that manual for the exact drive you have?

Yes the manual is for the VFD I have it's a "BEST FC300"
The terminals on the VFD are

(In order left to right)
Anything in bold has a wire hooked up

COM (DCM)
X1(FWD)
X2
X3
X4
X5
X6
X7
10V
AVI(Avi)
ACI
ACM(acm)
AFM
24V
Y1A
Y1B
Y1C
Y2A
Y2B

Then on another row, where the power input is I have

L
N

PB(NOT USED)
P+ (NOT USED)
U
V
W

PE(NOT USED)

This is from your manual:
Terminals.JPG
So then:
I suggest you make these parameter changes and rerun the battery/jumper test:
VFD Programming:
ONLY change these two Parameters
p064=1
p065=1

Retest with the battery and the jumper:
1.5VDC battery across VFD COM (battery -), and VFD AVI (battery +)
Jumper from VFD COM to VFD X1 (Forward Terminal)
Power up the VFD
This alone with the VFD powered up should turn the spindle on in the forward direction and spin relatively slowly.

The jumper from COM to X1 tells the VFD to run in forward mode.
When you connect the battery, yes, I would assume the display would change.

When you refer to VFD COM are you referring to DCM or ACM?
'
got the probe working at least..

On the page out of the manual you provided a link to (I posted the page a few posts back), there is no DCM/ACM, just COM

I have already suggested what to try. Its up to you to understand it and decide whether or not you want to try it.
Frankly, I have no use for chinese VFD's and do not use them. You have it, you say it ran, might as well give it a go.
If you can't make it run with the jumper from COM to X1 and from a battery, - terminal to COM and postive terminal to AVI as I demonstrated in the video, You won't get it to run with Acorn.
You also have to program the VFD correctly.

I was just asking for clarification.

I did the test and the spindle did in fact spin. reading on VFD said H 61
