click search, type in MA860H and schematic #S14976 appears. use that schematic.

hello. please watch the unboxing video and the bench test videos found on this page.
https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... guide.html
RD-35B is the Logic power supply that comes with the Acorn kit.

Ah okay, I've watched all the videos. I mustve missed the part where he referenced that name. Just trying to get hooked up so I can start digitizing! Does it matter which X,Y,Z,A goes into slots 2&3? I'd assume start with X, then slots 4&5 be Y, 6&7 Z axis.. and so on? Hope you get paid well for working so late. I appreciate you Keith.

Page 6 of the Acorn Installation Manual.
found here. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... manual.pdf
Page 6 shows a nice photo of the Acorn kit components and the part numbers.
Please follow the manual in order as it takes you step by step.

is this a milling machine or router? then axis 1= X, axis 2= Y, axis 3 = Z, axis 4 can be paired or used a a linear or rotary axis of your choice.

Its a 4x8 CNC Router straight from China. It was marked TPR1325. The A axis is just a rotary spindle attachment that can be removed from the machine.. mounts to the bed type deal with a chuck on it.

Also just to double check, can I run all 5V wires from the steppers all into the same V1 (+5 VDC) 2.2A slot? There would be 5 wires going into the same slot on the Meanwell V1

Your steppers should be powered from a separate power supply. The power supply that ships with the Acorn is meant to power the Acorn only.

There are two reasons for this: 1) The Acorn supply is not sized for the additional load of the steppers; 2) Steppers and their drivers can generate electrical noise on the supply lines that could affect the Acorn.
Cheers,

Tom

Is this your first CNC Conversion? Do you have the basic electrical/electronic skill to carry out the conversion successfully? Do you know how to read schematics? You might do some searching on YouTube to familiarize yourself with the terminology and or find someone to help you, in order to have a successful conversion.

I strongly suggest you do basic bench testing. Get Acorn and the CNC PC communicating.
Keith has already pointed you to a schematic.
Wire ONE axis drive and motor on the bench.
Take pictures as you go and post them. Also try and follow this post when asking for help: https://centroidcncforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=1043
Most importantly, always post a fresh report.

Good luck with your project. Take your time, do things neatly, test as you go.

This is an older post in the knowledgebase but it might be helpful to you. Software is old version but the Wizard is built into CNC12 now and has more features, but the steps still apply.

Thank you. Not sure why the Acorn Schematics says to run the 5V from the steppers to the meanwell power supply.

The bench test was already successful. However, when pressing cycle start to do the spindle bench test it just says "LINE #16" and just stays there with a black screen and LINE 16 in a blue border at the top. Nothing is happening. Also, your video says to enter a spindle setup page, but there is no option to get to that page to specify spindle speed or anything. **EDIT** had to hit escape and the the spindle bench test finally loaded.
