Gary's Leadshine option appears to fit the bill nicely as the OP's original spindle motor is just 350w or approx 0.5hp.

I've no experience of this lathe or the Leadshine motors recommended but if Gary has done it, that would be good enough for me

Small frame 3 phase motors can be found through TVT America. Quality is quite good:
