ok since I have two screws in stock a 1610 and a 1605 I will try both could you give me pictures of your z axis to give me a starting idea

Make sure you use thrust bearing assembly at the top to take the THRUST of the ballscrew forces

What kind of materials are you planning on machining?
You understand you size the axis motor, the ballscrew, any pulley reduction based on the application, the rigidity of the machine, the spindle HP etc.

My suggestion to you is be realistic as to what you intend on machining and go search similar machines and see how they are configured. Unless you are a Mechanical Engineer.

Also, please realize you are on the Centroid Acorn forum. we support the Centroid Acorn control, we aren't necessarily here to support your choices as you build the machine. CNCZONE would be a better place for those machine related mechanical questions.

That said many of us can share our experiences with you, but at the end of the day, you have to decide what is best for your application.

I would use 1605 for the short Z ballsrcew. Better torque and precision with good speed for the short travel.

ok thank you for your feedback and sorry if i ask for information on the design of my machine i just wanted to share with you progress of my project just to see it come to life in the forum

Hello the table is 1200 by 1000 but I think I have a race of 800 in x and y and the z 200

Bonjour la table fait 1200 par 1000 mais je pence avoir une course de 800 en x et y et le z 200
