Yes for sure, waiting to hear back. He isn't an expert on the situation either. I'm trying to understand the difference of the two setups and make mine as good as it can be.

I'm and Engineer; By design, I'm risk adverse. If another engineer has taken the time to include a table showing recommended resistor values, I assume there was a reason for it and act accordingly. It might work without them. I know for sure that it will work with them.
