Hello all!
When i was tested Acorn board standalone analog output gives 0-10V range, after installation output range reduced to 0-4.87V in 0-100% and 5.47V 100%-200% in software. Board was installed to Wabeco CC6000-HS lathe with Leadshine DMA860H drivers. Internal logic of Wabeco's spindle native 0-10V and in manual mode controlled by resistor 100 kOhms and works fine, with Acorn board i'm use relay board to switch wires from native resistor to analog output. Where is the problem?

Re: Analog output problem Acorn CNC12
It appears that the Wabeco's low impedance is loading down the Acorn's 0-10V output. You might try a 0-10V signal isolator and see if that works. Hard to tell for sure without a wiring diagram of your setup and a manual on the Wabeco drive.
Cheers,
Tom

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Analog output problem Acorn CNC12
I'm disonnecting everything from Acorn board and try spindle bench test one more time and it's failed: maximum 5.4V
upd: input from power supply to the board is 23.64, so i think it's ok

Re: Analog output problem Acorn CNC12
Check in the wizard to make sure that the acorn is not set to 0-5 volt output instead of 0-10.

Re: Analog output problem Acorn CNC12
Thank you, practically 5V give me 1000rpm rotation of spindle (if encoder count correct
thats mean that Wabeco's spindle control have non linear parameter of rising voltage: it start rotating from 2V, 5V is 1000rpm, 5.4V 1150 rpm.
so it's more or less enought for most operations with metal, but i don't know for CNC12 what parameter is main for threading for example: encoder counts or basically some rpm value that if not reach program will fault?

Re: Analog output problem Acorn CNC12
If you are only getting 5V out of the Acorn analog out without anything connected, you may have damaged the output circuitry. Centroid offers a swap-out service for these cases: https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... ranty.html
Cheers,
Tom
