Touch Screen not working - Resolved, thanks

Post by JRD56 »

I'm beginning a new build and can't get my touch screen to work. I'm using a Lenova Tiny M92 and an Acer UT222Q touch screen monitor. I'm using Display Port on both the PC and the Monitor. I'm using Logitech K400+ keyboard with mouse pad. Its a new windows 10 Pro install and I've set it up per the installation manual and video's. CNC12 downloaded fine and is communicating with Acorn. I can use the mouse to select the VCP keys but not my fingers. Also, the F keys don't function from the keyboard but do function via the mouse. Don't know if that is normal.

Is there anything I need to do in setup to make this work.

Are the touch screen, keyboard and F keys fully functional in the Windows OS itself?

Does your screen require a USB cable connected to the PC for the touch screen function?

The touch screen does not work in Windows. I looked at the Device Manager and I do not see HID Compliant Touch Screen listed. It seems as though the monitor is not a touch screen, but it is supposed to be. Do I need to load a driver separately for this?

I don't know if it needs a USB or not. The instructions that came with the monitor are very poor and I've not been able to find much help on-line. I'll keep looking.

Thank you RogDC. I could not find any detailed information on the Acer UT222C so I tried installing a USB cable and that did the trick. I've never worked with a touchscreen before this so I don't know if that is the normal configuration, but I'm happy its working.

Thanks again.
