Probe not found error message - SOLVED

Post by lavrgs »

I'm checking tool height and after checking several tools I'm going back to measure one more and I'm getting a message probe not found. I have an LED that is lit and goes off when I touch the probe...I get a warning message on the main screen when it's triggered and cleared.

Your log file is full of resend requests indicating communication issues between your computer and the Acorn board probably caused by noise.You can see these messages by pressing the following function keys starting from the CNC12 Main screen:

Utility[F5] -> Logs[F9] -> Errors[F1]

Search the forum for suggestions on how to eliminate noise on your system.

Before starting to measure tools, please press alt-i to bring up the real-time I/O display. Look at inputs 3&4 (ProbeTripped IS INP3, ProbeDetect IS INP4). What state are these inputs when "probe not detected" message appears?

I'm using a touch off tool Metrol P11EDB-DULD. The status light #6 triggerswhen the sensor is touched and #5 is green

Does the error only happen when you try to measure tool #10?
