z axis not zeroing out when starting job from tool no. or line

Post by Markostojic »

Hi. i am having problems with my z axis not zeroing out properely when starting a job from a certain tool no. or line, i am using clints mac 6 fixed tool macro and i am not having any trouble at all with a job when starting from the start, the z axis cuts above the material 10/20mm above or digs into the material 10/20mm and just sometimes it hits the right height.my spindle turns on at home before moving to the start point of a program but when i try to resume from certain point the gantry moves to the starting point and the spindle turns on above starting point at z home, my machine is dual gantry router.thanks in advance, i have not installed anything for noise yet and i have run a 2hr job with no issuesImage

I would suggest running with the default m6 (just rename the current mfunc6.mac to something else to determine if that corrects the problem.

If you want to make your life easier, have a look at the ProbeApp that provides a convenient Touch Screen Interface for the Dual Touch Off Plate method you are using to measure Tool Height Offsets.

Check out this Thread or the Universal Tool Setter Chapter of the ProbeApp User Guide for more information.
