Spindle upgrade on a Tormach
Hey, Guys hopefully this is not frowned on here as it's not really an Acorn-related question. Looking for some input on upgrading a Tormach series 3 1100 to a 10K spindle? What would it take to do it? Tormach does not offer that for the older machines. The current stock Spindel is 5500 RPMs.

Something you should be discussing with Tormach. Probably the spindle cartridge design and it's precision bearings.BillB wrote: ↑Tue Sep 28, 2021 10:16 pm Hey, Guys hopefully this is not frowned on here as it's not really an Acorn-related question. Re: Spindle upgrade on a Tormach
I did ask Tormach there is no upgrade option for the main spindle on the older 1100 mill, that is why I'm asking here to see if there is a 3rd party option. I figured you guys would know.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 9:10 amSomething you should be discussing with Tormach.
