CNCSNW, asked for picture of the terminal block i was using for the 24v common and the power supply. sorry about that

Yes. You might see if you can eliminate the daisy-chain arrangement in your 0VDC common bus (buy a 3-position jumper bar).
You might also test whether any of your other input points are somehow affected in this same way (where closing one input works okay, but closing two inputs results in neither one showing Green).

I will work on this to see if there is any changes, I will order a 3-position bar to test, for the mean time i can run the cnc with the touch plate fine if i wire the e stop and have it set in the NO position all works great. I have inquired on the replacement acorn just in case i have damaged this one.

UPDATE.....
just want to let you know that I'm a dumb ass!! big time... I didn't have the 24v into the correct input on the headers.. so now I have the 24v correct. it works again.. thank you to CNCSNW and Gary Campbell for the assistance. it was much appreciated. great group of people in here
