Hello everyone,

i`am from germany and looking for a new controller for my Emco PC Turn 55 conversion. I already found some conversions with this machine in this forum.

Because i come from germany..i want to know if its possible to set the language in german? espacially the operation screen. The reason is...i have a realy old friend who can`t read/speak englisch :) .

best whishes
Andy

Andy,

In the CNC12 side in the parameter screen set parameter 9 to 5 for German. Not all of the screen will be 100% German. Centroid can be set to 9 different languages.

thanks Dana.

fyi... Parameter 9 effects CNC12 hard coded menus, if you don't like the 'stock' German words used, you can edit the language file to suit your tastes.
look in the c:\cncm directory for a text file called language.msg open it with Notepad ++ to edit.

also the VCP buttons are fully customizable here is how.

Hi Andy,

I am also from germany and new to Centroid. Despite being not very good in english, i would suggest to leave it in english, since the dokus are english and the support in this forum also. Makes it way easier to get the stuff running than always switching language.

Works anyway best with a keyboard with US layout on the PC.

Kind regards

Uwe

Hi Uwe,

i would change it after the machine is working correctly. The main reason is, that the machine is for a friend who is 74 years old....and can`t read englisch :D

best regards
Andy
