I was trying to follow the instructions exactly.
Please explain your turret sensors. Do you have ONE sensor to find HOME or do you have TWO?
If you have only one, then you need to use TIME BASED SENSOR.

I believe it only has one. It is the same sensor as the factory spindle encoder.

No, the spindle encoder has nothing to do with the turret.
IF you have NO sensor on the turret, you have to install ONE. That would be to tell the control where Tool 1 is.
In my testing of the PC5 lathe, I installed a simple hall effect sensor on the back side of the turret and adjusted the magnet on tool position 1.

If you only have 3 wires coming from the turret, then you only have motor forward, Reverse, Common.

You miss understood what I meant. They are the same as in part number not that they share the same roll. I attached a picture of the sensor that is on the turret.

Please clear shot of the END.
So you do have 2? sensors, I can't see clearly enough nor see how many wires are in that plug.
What are the functions of each wire as you have them connected.

When you rotate the turret manually, watching the diagnostic screen, do you see the two turret inputs turning on and off? A video showing that might be helpful.

I have 4 wires in total. Yellow/Green is negative, Brown is 5v, White is Strobe, and Green is Sync according to the Emco wiring diagram I have found.

Yes when I rotate the turret manual you can see the inputs changing. Ill get another video showing the just the inputs changing.

Then you may have something configured wrong?
Are you saying the control will move the turret but you get a time out before it settles on the correct tool?
Or is the control not rotating the turret at all?
I would like to see a video of you trying to have the control rotate the turret. Preferably by calling a tool from MDI:
T0101, T0202 etc (Cycle Start)

In other Lathe PLC's there is a Parameter 849=Amount of time in seconds to wait before faulting the tool change cycle. If it is set to 0 then it defaults to 10 seconds
I DO NOT KNOW if that was inadvertently missed on the the instructions you are using OR it does NOT pertain to your particular application. But 10 seconds should be more than plenty to move from one tool to the next without faulting.

I have switched the two wires around and I still get the same problem.

Here are two videos that you asked for.

In your PLC
ToolTurretSyncBit is assigned to input 3
ToolTurretPosBit is assigned to input 4

Yet in the video, Input 4 is Tool number one and Input 4 should be assigned to ToolTurretSyncBit
while ToolTurretPosBit should be assigned to input 3 (counting positions)

Once you have that straightened out. Manually rotate the turret to tool position 1. Input 4 should be green Indicating Tool 1 location
When you do a video, take video of the entire screen so I can see the tool number above the dialog box

@mrp192: did you solve the problem? as i see on the pictures, you have 2 sensors in the turret! i have the same one on my pc turn 55.
and if it helps i have the original atc board from emco and the wiring diagram.

i`am new here and got problems in the retrofit of this machine with another controller.... so i`am looking for an alternative one.. maybe the acorn! :)

best whishes from germany
