Hi Marty,

is there any way to connect the turret sensors to the acorn headers instead to the DB25 port? :?

Why?
First you have two turret sensors, one for tool position 1 and the other that counts positions correct?
The issue is that your turret uses +5VDC logic. Acorn header inputs stand at +24VDC and need to be sunk to ground to activate.
You could run your turret sensors into this relay board:
DZS Elec 5V 2 Channel Relay Optocoupler Isolation Module Red Board 3-5V High and 0-1.5V Low Level Triggered Load AC 0-250V / DC 0-30V 10A SCM IO Control
by DZS Elec
Learn more:

Your run +5VDC to the DC+ and DC- terminals, and you run your turret signal lines to In1 and In2

And then use the dry contacts to ground the appropriate inputs:
3= Turret Sync Bit
4= Tool Position Bit 1

hi Marty,

yes correct i have two turret sensors
i ask because i accidentally wired my acorn wrong at the beginning and blow it up :oops: :cry: :oops: a friend could fix it really good include a new seedboard because the old one seems to be dead...but i have sadly a problem with the DB25 connection... i connected the +5V signals from the sensors to input 3 and 4 with the DB25. the LED`s are switching on the Acorn if they get an signal, but when i look in CNC12 on my diagnostic screen no signal is detected :cry:

maybe you know where the problem could be located (on the board)?

Use Centroid's warranty "forgiveness" and purchase a replacement for $199
https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... 0Period%22).

It happens to the best of us...including ME! :oops:

What exactly did you do to damage Acorn?

:cry: i just give the board a friend who want try to fix it and spend already some cash for the new seedboard and activation :cry: i just dont want to spend another 199$ plus tax and shipping to germany.

it was a stuppif mistake... i connected one GND wire to the turret control board.. but not an DC one... a AC one... and because of that it got an 220V voltage to the system

IS what it is. It happens. Suck it up and replace it...
I wouldn't pay others to band-aid it.

How is the turret doing? I'm pretty sure we have the exact same turret. Check my thread "retrofitting emco PC turn 55". Got mine working last week.
