table moving more then dro shows

Post by Martin Zarnay »

Hy guys,
I left my machine to sit a while and when I turned it on again, I found a problem.
I wanted to move 100 mm and the table moved 130mm. This is happening on all axis. so I don't assume that it is steppers.

I did check to set on steppers and I have it set to 6400 steps for rev. same as in wizard, my ball screw has 5mm pitch same as I have it set up in the wizard.
I did try to restore different reports from the past and they all showed the same problem...

and have no idea what is going on as I have all settings the same as I was using the machine before...

As Keith mentions, we need far more details than you are provided.
Assume new build/configuration?
Sounds like you don't have motor/steps per rev
set correctly, Overall turns ratio etc. There is a new Acorn Installation manual we worked on. Go through it carefully start to finish:

Provide the details requested if you can't still figure it out.
Marty
