Help Newbie (Resolved)

Post by mghood »

I just have finished the hardware of a build and decided to add my 10 to 1 gearbox to the z axis and now I can't get the axis to move over and inch or so off of the table. It will move down and up but wont go over an inch or so off of the table. I'm guessing that home was set without the gearbox on it and when installed it won't go up to the top of z. When I try to move it up it says travel exceeded. How can I get this it past what it thinks is home so I can reset home and finish it's setup?

Did you set your turns per inch to 1/10 of what they were?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and after a complete shut down it came back up and I was able to get past the position the z axis was in and got it back up so I could continue with setup.
Thanks again
