Acorn with CL-HSS57 Steppers, and KBMG212D, C89

I spent part of the day creating a schematic for my Rhino ST6 Lathe conversion. This is my first Schematic so there are bound to be errors. I am hoping someone could look at this and make suggestions. I will post links to the documents I used to come up with this setup. I will share the CAD file after adjustments are made. I also might break it down to Only the spindle motor connects on one drawing and a separate one for Steppers.

My Lathe uses a Baldor CDP3330 90VDC motor for spindle.
I am driving the spindle with a KBMG 212D, Bidirectional driver with SIMG signal isolator board.
CNC4PC C89 speed control board.
CL=HSS57 closed loop stepper motor driver and matching Nema 23 motors.
48V, 20amp power supply for the stepper motors.
Meanwell RT-50 power supply with 5V, 12V and 24V for the logic power.

Bill,
Since I did that video showing how to connect the C89 board, KBMG 212D, I'm not going to go over that.
Your drive manual states they can use 5VDC or 24VDC. So that looks right
However, the +ALM shows a voltage dropping resistor (R1) and the value needs to be between 3-5K ohms before ALM+ is connected to Acorn's input.

Do the basic Acorn bench including the spindle analog output test.
Wire ONE Axis drive and ONE axis motor on the bench and connected it to Acorn. Do not connect the ALM or the ENA at this time. Most drives come defaulted to ENABLE. (you can test this by seeing if the motor shaft is locked once CNC12 is on line and ready)

Get the one motor to turn first.

Thank you for reviewing the drawing Marty. I appreciate all you do to help people.

I have wired up the Acorn and have a heartbeat. Now I need to follow the rest of the bench test advice. I'm looking forward to getting the Acorn working.

Keep us posted Bill. Post your build pictures along the way.

I have a question regarding CNC12 update. I found the thread about updating to V4.62. My current version is CNC12 Mill Free 4.12 ( I bought the acorn a long time ago before I decided what machine I would put it on.). I want to install CNC12 Lathe instead of mill, then buy the full version of lathe. Is there any issue with updating from such an old version that I should read up on?

Bill,
Uninstall 4.12 with Windows Control Panel
Erase the directory.
Install 4.64 lathe
You have not purchased a license yet? No problem, once you have 4.64 installed and running, create a report. F7 Utilitye, F7 Create Report.
Purchase the Lathe Pro License here: https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... oller.html
Email your report and a copy of your PayPal receipt to diysales@centroidcnc.com
Let the know you purchased the lathe pro license from their website, your report is attached. Then be patient, they will email you the license.

Todays mission was to get the CL-HSS57 closed loop steppers to spin. These drives are only similar to Leadshine, they are more like Steppersonline drives. These required the signal be inverted.

I will post a picture of the Axis inputs and configurations I used. I will also post the schematic I made to the Centroid forum
in case someone would find it helpful.

Thanks for the update Bill,
Good work! Get both axis/drives running on the bench with Acorn. Consider doing the same with your spindle motor/drive. Then arrange everything so you get an idea on the size of the cabinet needed. Perhaps the machine has its cabinet with enough space to mount everything in.
