More information about the machine, the tool changer, pictures of the shot pin and microswitches etc.
Tool changing is a process.
Please take the time to provide more information.

marty is correct need the details on your project to help effectively,
in general how to activate an output via macro is covered in the macro programming guide.

If I had a client ask to refit a HAAS VF1, I would be using All in One DC (if it had good DC Brush motors) or Centroid OAK and new compatible Servo Drives.

You have posted in the Acorn forum. It could be done with an ACORN and ETHER1616. In any case you would need some help modifying an umbrella PLC (Assuming you have an umbrella style tool changer and not a swing arm)

More details about the build, if its to be used in a hobby or commercial environment, what spindle drive you have etc, would be helpful.
I assume the HAAS control is dead? What's the status/condition of the machine. What are you hoping to accomplish? "End game"

i bought the machine strip out and im going to use Yaskawa v1000 VFD, dmm servo motors. the machine has an umbrulla type tool changer just like Bridgeport torq-cut 22 the umbrella is rotate by ac motor

OKAY,
You will need to retain Centroid to help modify the Umbrella ATC PLC for you. Go here if you haven't already: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=3397
Search for ATC, you are looking for the ATC Mill Carousel option.

Make double sure you work closely with DMM on selecting the CORRECT size AC servo motors.
You will need a line reactor capable of the load of all your DYN4 drives. I assume Z has a counter balance?
Yaskawa V1000 should work out.

dmm servo for X and Y are 1KW And Z axis 1.8kw.
yes the machine has gas counter balance but they are not good gas is gone im going to use Z-BRAKE

You will likely need a regenerative resistor on the Z axis DYN4.

Similar question was asked about shot pin. I've asked the fellow to post his report. The report contains all the macros and the PLC SRC file that might help you.
