Xbox 360 controller HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by cad cam man »

Hey guys I went ahead and got an xbox controller until I get the usb MPG from Centroid . I downloaded Rewasd the remapping software all went well except for the Z axis jogging control ( page up , page down ). I chose to use the right joystick up and down to control the z axis and the left joystick for x ( left and right ) and y axis ( up and down ) along with all the other buttons as well like cycle start , feed hold ...etc.. So here is the problem when I go to cnc12 all the functions work besides z axis and when I try to use the right joy stick Centroid message pops up in the message box ( top right hand corner of screen ) select_an _ axis ....? I tried re-mapping the page up and the page down functions to other keys on the game controller with the same results . Am i missing something here? Is there a missing step in the process that is different for " Z" axis . I followed the few videos that are out there ( Franco, Rick Sparber's , and a guy that goes by the name of S Vin on you tube ) and S Vin's video was the most helpful as far as describing how to map buttons and how to get 1 game pad button to have 2 key functions from the key board on it using Rewasd . All the other videos that others made just told about what software was used to remap and what functions they ended up using rather than showing how to get the remapping software to work ... like a step by step and S Vin did that ..... At any rate Im stuck on this trying to get the z axis to jog using the right joy stick using the Xbox 360 game controller and the error or message in the message box says select_an _axis..Can someone help has anyone seen this before ?? I can post my report later Im at work right now and this has been eating at me all day !! please let me know if anyone needs or would like to see the report and I will post it when I get to that PC

What value do you have in Machine Parameter 962?

Try changing Parameter 962 to either 1, or 0.
