Have acron CNC12 and KL 5080D4 driver motor KL 23 31n 1000 from Automation Technology I received it work fine day 1 next day stared CNC 12 move Axies z motor turn just little got drive fault 9031 and getting 7 red flashes on drive, KL manual says 1, the value of position following error is set to small 2, motor wiring error check wiring ,the puzzling thing it work fine first day
One member suggested doing wiring through DB 25 plug, just stared project going to put on small bench lathe
Need help
Thanks Larry

please always post a fresh report.zip when requesting support

and yes, most stepper motor drives perform better on the DB25 connector. use a break out board to make the wiring easier. like the one here.

You know about the diagnostic screen in CNC12 correct?
Press the Alt i on the keyboard to toggle it on and off
Top line, far left, of virtual LED's are the INPUTS
Second line, far left, of virtual LED's are the OUTPUTS

Now,
When you Start and Reset CNC12 all is well until you try and command a move? When you do, the drive itself is faulting correct?
You said blinking LED's

You also say it was working DAY one but now not. What did you do differently?

Also,
You have 1600 steps per motor rev set up in Axis configuration.
Do you have the drive setup for 1600 steps? Post a picture of the dipswitches and please post a link to the drive manual.

Marty
