Software Travel Limits limit

I'm loving the Acorn CNC system so much I decided to jump in and order another for our large CNC router.

Our large CNC has an X Axis travel of 14,000mm, which seems to a be distance that the CNC12 wizard won't accept.
With a bit of trial and error, I've established that the max software travel limit the wizard will accept is 9,999mm.

Setting the travel limits directly in the CNC12 configuration jog parameters, seems to allow a travel limit of 14,000mm.
Before I go ahead with the upgrade, it would be good to get confirmation that a travel limit of this length is OK.

Try entering your limits in inches see if that works.

you can always use the cnc12 travel limits menu, the wizard just sets those values for you:-))

thanks cnckeith,

I'll take your comment as confirmation that an axis travel of 14m is OK.

You may have found a bug in the Wizard....

.
Finally found a gap in production to upgrade the large CNC...

I can confirm that the Acorn is able to control an axis travel of at least 14,000mm.
Defining an axis travel greater than 9,999mm, needs to be defined in the CNC12 Jog parameters.
Acorn Wizard appears to not like any value greater than 4 digits.

Accept the max in the wizard and once you are setup, change to the real numbers via Setup > Mach > Config > Jog parameters.

Its reasonable that a programmer might have thought that 10 meters was a normal max. You can be the exception to the norm.
