When Defender real-time protection turns itself back on, resend errors start, control panel opens, windows security panels opens to the manage settings page.

I don't know what to tell you.
All my machines have Windows Defender running with the exception to all CNC12 through and no issues. Should also have nothing to do with com
errors. I suppose turn Defender off and do not connect to the Internet.

You still have not posted a fresh report
What brand and model PC are you using?

This seems counterintuitive to me. When I set up a CNC PC I never turn off Defender. I simply start CNC12 and wait for the Defender pop-up. I then make sure both boxes are checked and I will never be bothered again.

I think this is standard procedure for most of us! There is something different about this installation that we still don't know because there are too many of us running Acorn with no issues!
