Preview CNC12

Post by DavidR8 »

Hi is it possible to view the CNC12 software if I don't have an Acorn board?
(I'm trying to get a feel for layout etc before making a purchase)
Thanks in advance,
David

Yes, somewhat. If you download the CNC12 version for Oak and AllIn1DC, you can install a demo version of CNC12. It does not have the Acorn Wizard, but the software snd VCP is exactly the same.

So I installed CNC12 from the Oak page but for some reason the display is not correct even though the resolution is set to the recommended 1920x1080. I have no idea how to fix this as there's way to change the window position.

It is normal, on a wide-format monitor, that CNC12 does not occupy the whole screen. There will be blank space to the right. In most Acorn installations, the VCP occupies that space.

That is correct. CNC12 runs as a full-screen program and not as a normal window.

Under the CNCM directory, there should be a folder named Manual. Inside is a pdf version of the latest manual for CNC12. As mentioned earlier, it won't cover the Acorn Wizard but should help you get started.
