Using TT-1B for Z-ref (Resolved)

Post by jlchapman »

I installed the TT-1B to my Acorn. It works great for measuring tool heights in auto measure mode, except for Z-ref. I changed the option to yes to measure z-ref. Put in the TT-1B height.
When I select setup,z-ref,auto, it says it cant find the probe. It finds it to measure the other tools. Centroid is confusing because I had the impression that a KP-3 is a probe, a TT-1B is a tool touch off.

Any Ideas?

Also in Params why does Parm 44 have 50003? My TT-1B trigger is attached to input 3. What does the 5000 mean?

Attached is a report.

Thanks,

Jerry

Acorn, clearpath servos, KP-3 and TT-1B.

Re: Using TT-1B for Z-ref

I just happen to stumble across the release notes for V4.64. There was a fix for the z-ref with a similar error to what I was seeing. Updated from V4.5 to V4.64 and it didn't fix it. So I went to the wizard and the yes for z-ref in Tool Touch off was set back to no. Changed to Yes and it worked. I thought I had that set to yes before.

One other thing I noticed in V4.64 was all the new messages for tool touch off. One I really like is a warning that your MPG must be in 1X mode to move off the tool touch off.

Thanks,

Jerry
