Updating from CNC12 4.18 to 4.64

Post by Salagar08 »

Any ideas about steps needed to bring an old CNC12 V4.14 software on Windows 10 to V4.64? Can I just download 4.64 and install it over the prior version. Will Report Restore recover the machine and controller configuration?

It is not recommended to do this. Your best option is to take screen shots of all your 4.18 wizard pages and rename the current cncm directory to "cncm 4.18" and do a fresh install of 4.64. Then instead of restoring your report input all the info for your machine by hand one wizard page at a time. Might take you 30 minutes or less. This is a safer way to upgrade from a really old version to 4.64 and not have any issues.
