Greetings again,
I just posted a new video explaining the Magazine component of the Automatic Tool Change System. Mechanical, electrical, Wizard settings, and Macro programs are explained. Take a look if you are curious about how this ATC works.
The next video, which I hope to upload in about a week will cover the Tool Length Measuring sensor and the Part Height Measuring sensor and all the related details.

Re: ACORN powered CNC Router with DIY ATC Spindle
I posted yet another video related to the ATC system I was able to implement on my CNC Router with Acorn control. This video explains the tool length measuring and the part height measuring sensors, macros, etc. Very useful even if you don't have an ATC.

There are two more videos planned in this series. The next one will cover that mechanical details of the collet loosening/tightening actuator and the one after that will cover the electronics and macros that make that work. I suspect both of these videos will be a good watch to see how much you can actually do with the Centroid Acorn control.

Here is a link to the video covering the mechanical design and components of the tightening / loosening actuator used in the Automatic Tool Changing System. In a couple of weeks I hope to publishing the final video on this topic and that will detail the electronics and code to make this work.

Re: ACORN powered CNC Router with DIY ATC Spindle
The final video detailing the Automatic Tool Change system has been uploaded. This video covers the electronics and software (Macros and Micro Controller program) used to make the actuator work. I believe this video really showcases how you can really get the Centroid Acorn controller to do much more than it was originally designed to do. I also posted a video about the whole CNC Router covering a lot of details and especially why I switched from MACH 3 to the Acorn controller. That video is in the success stories section of this forum.
