No it is not, but there are other 6 axis boards coming in the near future.

Acorn Six and Hickory are the current project names. And no, I do not know a release date

Thanks for the info Gary. Is there any upfront data on them?

No additional data other than 6-axis. If you need 6-axis now, you'll need to look at the Oak.
Cheers,

Not a lot of data, but Hickory is 8 axis EtherCat and Acorn Six is step & direction with six drive ports. Both are loaded with multiples of inputs, outputs, encoder ports, etc compared to the entry level Acorn.

Are you sure that your checkbook is ready for 5 axis simultaneous? Phrase is often used, but seldom purchased in the real world.

Have you checked the prices of 5-axis CAM packages? You are not going to program those kind of machines by hand ;-)

As others mentioned, the current Acorn hardware is 4 axis, not expandable.

WHAT is your application?

atc's usually do not require another axis motor. post photos of your machine for advice on the cnc gear that you would need to run it.

This is my milling machine

is a SYIL X7
Image

have 4 axis (with servo motors), initially have a XHC-Mach3 but i am migrating to ACORN-Centroid.

I buyed recently a encoder fmi ROP522 for connect from servo motor spindle to acorn.

How to control this ATC stepper motor, if all axes are occupied?
