Hi Everyone i'm Daniel from chile, i recently bought an encoder E6B2-CWZ1X 2.500 p/r 'cause i want to cut threads in my lathe (i have an Acorn Board), i wiring up like the acorn documentation said, i activated the encoder from the Wizard, enter the 10.000 counts on the dialog box, restart the CNC12 Pro, then i enter on the PID page and when i rotate the encoder shaft it only shows 1 and 2; could be that the encoder it came bad or there's something else that i need to config, or maybe my encoder port could be damage?
Does anyone experience something like that and how fix it?
Best Regards
Daniel

You probably have a wiring error. If you had included a report, we could have checked the configuration and your error logs and been able to offer more help.
Cheers,

That is typical of reading only the A channel, or only the B channel, but not both.when i rotate the encoder shaft it only shows 1 and 2
A problem with your cable is most likely, followed by a faulty encoder. If you paid less than USD $200 for it, chances are it is not an Omron encoder, but instead a cheap Chinese copy.

An April 26th report is not going to help very much. Can you create a report after the encoder installation?
Cheers,
Tom

Re: issue with encoder e6b2-cwz1x
There are no differential or quadrature errors in the log, so it's probably mis-wired at the connector.

Hi everyone, thanks for your help, well it wasn’t a wiring problem, like cncsnw said, it was only reading one channel, I used the oscilloscope to see if the channels are ok, and I only have the A channel working, I use one of those pot inside the encoder until I get a reading on the B channel and then I hook up to the acorn and now is working, I have full reading.
Thanks for your time and help
