I believe there is a component at FB6. Maybe Matt (Eng199) will chime in.
My friend, you should have taken the opportunity to buy another board at $199 under the Centroid warranty option.

Do I still have the opportunity? If so I will buy it together with wireless MPG and make myself early Christmas

Yeah... I will have to talk to them... they want the board back and just because i’m in uk i really don’t want to do that. It is shame they don’t sell just that board without beaglebone

Hmm.. Any idea why acorn doesn’t want sell only acorn board with or without bbg? The only way to get only that is to do swap out which is to either send the old one back to centroid or send picture of broken acorn smashed in two peaces to centroid. Why people if they get into situation like me just can’t simply buy replacement but forced to either break burned but functional acorn into two peaces or buy the whole kit with all unnecessary extras. In either cases (swap out or kit) you pay full price for the acorn so why should we send it back or break the old one with swap out? I would perhaps understand if i would have linked some licence with that board but I don’t even have that so what is the logic behind all this?

Simple. Self inflicted damage. Spend $199 to get an RMA to get a replacement.
A little better than paying full boat.

They load the firmware on BBG and test every board they sell as a complete unit. When you get it, it's your responsibility to bench test it and install. Ship the old one back.

Well that is like you buy a car and burn the engine down. If you want to buy new engine the manufacture would tell u .. ok… we sell you new engine for full engine price but you will have to either send the old one back to us or destroy the engine completely… do u know what I’m trying to say… it just doesn’t make any sense. The $100 difrence between the whole kit and swapout is basically just taking price for the extras so u pay full acorn price anyway 🤷‍♂️

Not sure what to tell you. You don't need the "extras" so why pay for them?
It's not Centroid's fault the user damaged the board. They aren't obligated to do anything.

But why to send the old board back to them or destroy it??? That is my point and not who's fault it is. Why there isn’t an option to just buy new board without all the extras???

I would think:
Because they check the board over. They look to see what the damage was, use the information for product development.
