I am using the CNC4PC/C86ACCP board to connect Clearpath motors with the Acorn board for a gantry cnc machine. I have the jumper set to slave with the Y-axis on the C86ACCP. Do the motors have to be paired in the acorn wizard and if so how. The only option is to pair Axis 4 with one of the other two axis's.
The way the CNC4PC board is setup, from left to right in their manual, A,Z,Y, Slave Y or X and X. I have the jumpers set to on for X,Y,Z and Slave for the Y, A is off. Also in Acorns pairing and homing manual, it says to put a jumper between the enable signal for the paired motors. Does this still have to be done or does the C86ACCP board take care of it ?
Thanks
Bill

Re: C86ACCP Board Slaved Axis & Acorn Pairing
After going over the Acorn Paring and squaring manual, it looks like using the C86ACCP to pair the axis, is referred to hardware pairing in the manual, I think Using this method, auto squaring is not possible.
So I'll just skip using the slave feature on the C86ACCP and use the A axis connection and jump the enable signal

Re: C86ACCP Board Slaved Axis & Acorn Pairing
That is correct. Using C86ACCP for pairing simply ties two axis together.bleiler60 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:39 pm After going over the Acorn Paring and squaring manual, it looks like using the C86ACCP to pair the axis, is referred to hardware pairing in the manual, I think Using this method, auto squaring is not possible.

Autosquaring must use software pairing and you have the Pro license installed
