Soft Travel Limits Gone? (Resolved)

Post by paulwall »

I booted up my 4x8 Centroid Acorn driven ShopBot last night after maybe 2 months of not using it, ran my homing sequence, and jogged the gantry on the long y-axis back to where it normally stops at the soft limit.

To my surprise the gantry flew right past the limit location and slammed into my basement wall throwing a fault. I pulled open my CNC12 Wizard to find all of my soft limits were at 0.00 across the board.

Am I missing something here? Did my CNC12 open the wrong settings file by chance? Or maybe I was utilizing a settings file that was not in the right place?

if you hit estop or cycle cancel in the middle of auto squaring the home program never got to finish and put the travel limits back in place.
this is why you should have a 'good' report.zip sitting on the desktop, that way the home program gets interrupted (at just the right moment) and leaves you with zeros for travel limits you can press "restore report" and then try to home out again. (or you can hand enter the travel limit values in CNC12 set screen or the Wizard)
