Jason, it is my understanding that the Charge pump signal is PHYSICALLY only available on DB25 Pin 16, which by default is Output 3. Then you need to assign Output 3 to Charge pump. In other words, the charge pump signal can only be had on DB25 Pin 16.

We are triple checking to make sure things haven't changed on the current hardware version, but we do not think so.

You might have to use a DB25 Jumper box to put it where you need it to be.

Thank you Marty,

I'll do that then, it should be straightforward enough.

Actually, I need to house the Acorn board and power supply anyway so perhaps that can go under the current electrics box and I'll make up a short DB25 cable with the proper pinout to connect the two. That's probably ultimately a tidier setup anyway.

It might take me a while to get to it, but I'll post a photo up here once it's done.

Regards,

Jason

Just an update to confirm the machine is now running on Acorn, everything worked much as expected. I was a bit slow with the configuration but I’d expect the next one will go a bit quicker.

Thank you kindly for the assistance, it was much appreciated!

I’ve begun building another just slightly larger and heavier mill, this time using Clearpath servos. If anybody is interested I’ll start a thread and post updates and photos.

Regards,

Jason

Build threads are ALWAYS appreciated. They show examples of what others are doing and give those with similar sized projects ideas and guidance.
