Parts from DMM were ordered today. They were able to put a 20% discount in place with free shipping, and the parts should be here by the end of the week. I am working on panel layouts and will have the existing panels out for placing items for the bench testing - the previous parts have been removed from the control panel. Does it make much difference in the order of prep - control before power? I see the power side to be a bit more involved. The plan is to have all the power supplies in the power cabinet, including line reactor, E-Stop contactor and some breakers. Currently there are fuses in between the power entry and VFD, and I plan to keep them. Speaking of VFD I was able to change parameters on the Unidrive 2203 and now have full torque at low rpms - I had been able to stop the spindle with my hand before.
I am working on a block diagram for the power and control cabinets. I plan to use Acorn/DMMs schematic for the control side. There are many thing I have questions about but one area I have not considered is delayed starts. I am also unsure of what to shut down on E-stop - do I shut off the main power to the VFD - ? I am running 3ph from an RPC, I will probably use a transformer to get 110 to run the power supplies and take L1 and L2 to the control cabinet should I have a contactor to shut of the single phase power or should I just shut down individual drives?

I have tried to get the machine running using the existing Baldor servo motors, while I waited for the DMMs, it was going well until I fried my power supply. Now those 3 motors, with new encoders, will be available - these are the stock 31 in-lb motors from the Tree all the same number, which can't be found on the world wide web - let me know if there is interest.

My E-stop controls a relay. That relay cuts power to a 24v coil contactor that shuts power off to the servo motors, and it also signals the Estop input of the VFD. Not all VFD's might have that type of input but the better ones do. If yours doesn't have an Estop input then just cut the power to the VFD with a contactor. Do not put the contactor between the motor and the VFD as disconnecting the motor suddenly can damage the VFD. It is better to use an Estop input on the VFD so that it gives the motor braking action and shuts down the spindle as quick as possible.

Home Depot or Lowe's sells liquid tite flexible conduit.

It looks like if I open/close the connection across pin 30-31 I can stop the drive. I currently have this connection jumpered . I wonder if I open it will I need to use the RESET to get it to run. There are other options I may investigate - I currently don't reverse the spindle.

One area of control that I am working on is to find relays to use for E-Stop, spindle fwd/rev. I may not have enough I/O to run all the relays shown but I would appreciate some help with identification - manufacturer - vendor?
Is 1 a time delay?

Left is an off time delay relay for my spindle cooling fan. It runs for a few minutes after the spindle turns off. The next three relays are four pole relays from Automation Direct in the associated relay socket with a plugin flyback diode. The three relays on the right are the two pole versions of the same.

Yes, relay 1 is a time delay (didn't you have some sort of spindle brake? Read the tags on the wires going to the relay sockets)
Relay 2 is the forward control of the spindle, the one next to it is for reverse
Relay 3 is for MIST control

I'd probably reuse the relays you have. You just need to know their coil voltage. Usually on the relay itself.
Then just feed that voltage through the appropriate output relay on Acorn and let it fire the larger relay.
