Bridgeport Boss servo size

Can some one tell me what size servo are used on the boss currently i have steppers on my boss want to do a centroid servo upgrade

Please clarify.
Are you wanting to do CENTROID Servos? That would require All in One DC
Are you wanting to control with Acorn?

I would suggest 750W servos on typical knee mill. Especially if you are retaining the belt reduction.

The Bridgeport BOSS machines used 2:1 H series belt reduction to a 5 TPI ball screw on all 3 axis. Version 6.1 of the BOSS increased the reduction ratio on the X and Y axis to 2.5:1. I did a Series 1 machine and put 21 in-lb DC servos on it driven by Gecko drives. It would easily break a 1/2" carbide endmill without skipping a beat (don't ask me how I know...). No issues with that size servo on a Series 1 machine. My current BOSS is a 4500# Series 2 machine and I run it with 29 in-lb DC servos, though the Z axis could be a smaller size. Both the BOSS machines I did had the 2:1 belt reduction. This should give you an idea of the torque required.

Thanks for the reply i was looking at options .
Either centroid servo and all in one . Or Dmm with oak controller with full feedback. or Just use acorn and Dmm. no full feedback.
Dmm recommended there 40 size servo for the boss interact that i have .
Just looking at what rout i want to go and how much i want to put in this mill
