even so that is not the proper way to have the drive configured, makes no sense to have two identical drives set up differently.
i am stepping you thru what i would do to solve your issue, humor me and i'll continue to help you out.
i have several more things in mind to check, but before we go there we need to make sure basic stuff is sorted properly, do you agree?

Steve,
I too downloaded and installed your Report on my bench test unit with a drive and stepper.
I tried like heck to recreate what it is doing for you. I could not replicate your issue.
Keith is right, go in the Advanced tab and uncheck that inversion on Z and go into the Axis Configuration page and change the direction there under direction reversal. DO that first and retest the issue on Z. Post a fresh report.

I also noted a couple other things but you should make that simple correction, retest to see if you can recreate the problem, and post a fresh report, and we'll go from there.

We're trying to make simple suggestions for you to try.
Marty

the problem still exists on both axis
if your trying to replicate this you will have to try a long time and maybe click at different rates to get it to happen and if it does and you clicked again you caused it to stop moving. you have to watch close before clicking again. it always happen when moving in close before going to incremental steps. I'm trying to get close enough to not click 50 increments to move into location for tool measurement. by the time I realize it stuck it is crashing into the part.

I forgot to shut down and restart acorn and re-power the board after changes I rebooted everything now and will retest

I had typed the problem was still there before I realized I had not restarted Acorn
after the restart I have not made it happen again. so we may have it...
I'm out of time today but I will be testing tomorrow morning
Marty what other things did you notice?

The turret and Acorn are working perfect and are very accurate to within .0002 making multiple identical parts.
This is the only problem I have left and I did switch from v4:18 to v4:64.
this was happening when I first installed Acorn before windows updates and before i updated to v4:18, before I ever had a turret. I did have the touch screen then but it is disconnected and no driver installed now. The Shuttlexpress is uninstalled also.
