Test your meter on a known good circuit. What make meter do you have?
Test your line voltage at the power supply.

It is a GP which is very popular around here and I bought it this morning because I didn't trust my old ones. The phrase I always use is new doesn't mean good. I bought a Sperry tonight and all voltage is where it belonged. So the GP goes back tomorrow. I know most electricians like the fluk, but I didn't have time to order one and I can't find one for a 100 miles.
Back to my project. I did have the e-stop programed wrong open closed setting.
I would wonder if someone could help me verify the spindle ok wire to terminal AVI on the delta vfd. This would connect acorn to the potentiometer in the delta allowing acorn to control the spindle speed. Am I looking at this wrong?
The bench test showed no voltage so I figure its because of this missing wire.
Marty, tomorrow I will be getting the report working.
Thanks again for the help.
Dave

Can you post a link to the manual for your VFD? I can say for certain that Spindle Ok does not go to AVI. Even without seeing your manual AVI would stand for "analog voltage in" if I had to guess. Then you should have a COM or GND for the analog voltage. This is where the analog voltage from the Acorn, header H8, would wire up. The Acorn outputs 0-10 volts to your VFD to control the speed. The "spindle ok" needs to go to the fault connection on your VFD. Need a manual to know how it's labeled. Don't worry about the Spindle Ok or Fault at this time. Lets take it one step at a time and get the Acorn controlling the VFD. There is also going to be a programming change for the VFD parameters before the Acorn can spin the VFD. Again, need to see you manual for this setting.

S14983 is a great start for a generic diagram and with your VFD manual we can get you spinning forward.

The Spindle Bench Test is performed on the Acorn H8 header only, not anywhere on your VFD. The VFD is disconnected from the Acorn for the spindle bench test. Lets please slow down before something goes poof. Once you let the smoke out of the Acorn or the VFD we can't put it back in.

I took a closer look at your earlier post and figured out you were trying to tell me I would have to use the relay board for the VFD. (read slower helps)
https://www.galco.com/techdoc/dlpc/vfd007m11a_um.pdf
The wiring diagram matches my VFD. Now that I think I know what you are telling me I came up with this wiring connections.
H8 AN ground will connect to Delta grnd next to the avi.
H8 AN OUT will connect to delta AVI.
Acorn relay (2)to delta MO for spin forward.
Acorn relay (2) to delta GRD next to M5.
Acorn relay (3) to delta M2 for VFD reset.
Acorn relay (3) to delta GRD Next to M5.
Not worried about smoke because experience has taught me patience when doing the physical connections. That's why I asked the questions before and not after.
Looking forward to your words of wisdom. I certainly need them.

Sounds like you are making sense of the diagrams now, awesome. As for my "wisdom", I'm pretty new at this myself so don't go patting me on the back just yet.

All your connections appear to be correct except for the relay numbers, Don't get me wrong they can be any unused relay but I was using the relay numbers on the Acorn diagram I referenced. The diagram uses relay 4 and 6 but you can certainly use relay 2 and 3. Just set up the wizard inputs and outputs correctly.

Attached is a diagram that I modified for your system according to your manual. I even included the wiring for the "spindle ok" when you get that far. The default setting for terminal M2 is "reset" and the default setting for RA is a "fault" indication. It appears to be NC so you'll need to set your spindle ok input to NC.

Also, change parameter Pr.00 to 01 for spindle frequency control from the Acorn. This is noted in the red text above the VFD drawing. I also highlighted in yellow the stock inputs and outputs in the chart at the top center. Again, you can use any relay you want, just set the wizard up accordingly.

Hope this helps and if anyone finds an issue or error let me know.

I hope the report opens up. I have everything wired according to the wiring diagram in the last post. Relays 4 and 6 don't activate on less I go into diagnostics and trigger them. Leadshine does not have a schematic for parallel NO limit switches. Could this be part of my home problem. Spent the weekend watching videos and reading bulletins, I did pick up some tips, tried different settings according to what I read. Set home limits according to the video Keith had put out for squaring a gantry except I didn't need to use the squaring part. It worked in Z and X but not in Z.
As a wise man said we will take things slow and step by step. So I think the stepper motors will be first. The stepper motors work fine but I run into a problem when the limit switches are triggered.

Leadshine has nothing to do with your limit switches, they wire direct to Acorn. If you have NO switches wire each one to its own input, 1,2 and 3, and set them up properly in the wizard. You could parallel all 3 on one input but I dont think thats standard practice. NC closed switches are recommended and preferred. The machine should home to the switches all by itself. Do you have it homing in the proper direction?

Relay 4 and 6, did you set up the wizard properly for both relays?

Post screenshots of your first 5 pages in the wizard.

sorry, pictures are the wrong set. I need a do over. these were with DS lead shine which I didn't use because input 4 doesn't show. I am using DM leadshine.
