I went and found the picture of your Pacific Scientific drive. I see a red wire jumped across 2 pins on the DB9. Without PROPER documentation, (if you have it, post it, there are too many files to go sifting through) all we can assume (most likely) that RED is +5VDC, Black and Blue is probably step and direction- you have to figure that one out
It appears you have NO enable on that drive.

I tried and the axis are locked even after enable removed. Can't make them move by Jog nor manually by pushing

Page 3
https://www.electromate.com/pub/media/a ... atalog.pdf

So it seems it needs 5VDC on Step+/Dir+/Ena+ and the Acorn needs to be connected to Step-/Dir-/Ena-...

It's so counter-intuitive ?!? Why in PDF it doesn't stated that on the side where it says user electronics in connection diagram ? The drive is being powered by DC already but needs another 5VDC on some control pins ?? I don't understand drivers at all, they are all different and doesnt make sense

So on the drive DB9, what do you have connected to it?
Is that red wire on pins 1&2 (and going to +5VDC?)
And Pin 6 is going to Acorn ST1
Pin 7 is going to Acorn DR1

And you have no connection to pin 3 or 8 (Enable) correct?

If the motor rotor is locked, (you can' turn the motor shaft) then the drive is powered up and holding the stepper. The drive is getting the step/dir signals

Did you go into the Wizard DB25 and make sure it was set to SCREW TERMINALS and not DB25?

It is set to screw terminals yes.

I wired the Step+/Dir+/Ena+ of Acorn to the Step+/Dir+/Ena+ of the stepper driver (pin 1/2/3)

Did you INVERT the ENABLE in Wizard ADVANCED TAB OR Disconnect the ENABLE temporarily?
Your drives are enabled by default. As soon as you call motion from Acorn, the Enable is going low DISABLING the drives, so no movement is my guess.

I disconnect the Enable and test as you suggested. I did not invert the Enable in Advanced tab because you wrote that I need to do that only if once Enable disconnected I am able move the axis manually (not locked) which is wasn't the case.

I will try inverting it then

I just tried inverting Enable in advanced tab, everything still locked and nothings move. It seems i really need to add the 5VDC to pin 1/2/3 (step/dir/enable positive) and wire Acorn to the pin 6/7/8 (step/dir/enable negative) instead...

Heres the pics BEFORE inverting enable

Yes, you DO have to put +5vdc to the +step, +dir, +ena pins in the drives. I thought you did that??
Then -step to ST1, -Dir to DR1, -Ena to EN1

Thanks alot Marty

Yesterday I put +5VDC to positive STEP/DIR/ENA of the drives and the minus one to the Acorn.

Everything now moves and works well.

I need to find the good transmission ratio because right now
it doesn't make sense (when moving 1in on coordinate, in real it's not the case)

I tried the ratio specified in the AXYZ manual but it doesn't make any sense
because the speed is way too slow.

I will take a look tonight on that.

Please provide the current dipswitch settings for your stepper drivers. (AND The DEC jumper position)
The steps/rev in the Wizard MUST match that first.
THEN you can work with the overall turns ration following the attached two documents
