Home the machine.
Press ALT D
That shows MACHINE position. The DRO's should be all zeros after homing
Press ALT D again, this is your last part position (G54)

Hi Marty

I have a cnc router machine equipped with indramat Rexroth drives, HMDO 1.1N-W0012, they comunicate by optic fiber sercos system to computer, do you think this type of drives can be retrofitted with Acorn and cnc12?

thanks

Unlikely But you need to post pictures of the current control cabinet, drives and have you Google searched your drive model numbers to see if you can find a manual? If so, post here.

yes i found the drives manual, it mention on chapter 7-5 three mode of operations, sercos interface, field bus interface and parallel/analog interface so looks like there is only +10v analog input, and does not support step and direction, if i am not wrong.

The link you provided does not work for me.
If it drive does not support step and direction it will not work with Acorn
