License 'Accepted' but still only "ACORN FREE" version (Resolved)

Post by FabianC »

Hello,

I've purchased a Lathe PRO license for my CNC Acorn which seems to be loading well, and displays 'License Successfully Imported'.
However the software stays in "ACORN FREE" mode with no changes. Waiting longer or rebooting the system doesn't help.

I've tried it in 2 different Windows 10 Laptops, and I get the same problem. Do you know how to fix this?

Thank you

Hopefully tomorrow during business hours, one of the Centroid techs can help you with this, but in the interim, make sure you download it to a Windows computer. The license file does not play well with Apple equipment.
Cheers,

Tom

Like Tom said, do not use a MAC for the license download. It will fail when you try and load it on the Windows 10 PC and CNC12
Did you send a report to Centroid when you bought the license?
Contact DIYSALES@centroidcnc.com and provide a fresh report and your license with an explanation as to what is going on if you can't get it sorted yourself.

Let us know how you make out

Hello,
Thanks for the help.

I still haven't managed to correct the error; I've made sure there's no new updates on windows and rebooted.
The license was downloaded directly from the email account into a windows machine.

Could there be anything obvious I'm missing?

Although it says accepted, it won't go into Pro mode, and will keep displaying "ACORN FREE". If I try to run a Demo with threading (I also have installed the rotary encoder) it will throw an error message regarding the license, so it definitely hasn't got it.

Please find attached a fresh report.

Thank you,

Kind regards
Fabian C
