Hi Everyone,
After doing some searching I still haven't found my answer.
So I just got a AXYZ router that came with a HSD ES915A 2p spindle. From what I can tell on the wiring diagram I really only need to connect the two output to the inputs on the Acorn for tool changes correct? I have included an attachment of the pinout.
Thanks,
Brent

Re: HSD spindle wiring
I connect (and use) all but 3, 9, 10 and 12

The only one that I use is the one you show above

Re: HSD spindle wiring
So would 4,5,7 just be 24V from a power supply and 6 and 11 be the negative

Re: HSD spindle wiring
Yes, but you will need to add gender change circuitry or relays to swap the PNP signals from the 2 sensors (pins 1&2)

Awesome that is easy enough with relays. Ill need to look up how to do with with circuitry.Gary Campbell wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 3:30 pmYes, but you will need to add gender change circuitry or relays to swap the PNP signals from the 2 sensors (pins 1&2)

Re: HSD spindle wiring
alright here is another question.. Do I need to get the Ether1616? I believe Acorn has enough inputs but it will use them all up between a touch probe and tool setter.

Re: HSD spindle wiring
It depends on how elaborate (or dummy proof) you wish to make the system. Along with the two inputs from the spindle, my ATC systems use three inputs from the VFD for a total of 5 additional that are ATC related.
On my daily driver, a 40 tool ATC Bridgemill, I use 22 of the available 24 inputs.

Re: HSD spindle wiring
Alright got a new question, On the stock AXYZ connector Pin 4 is populated. But on the harness that goes from the connector to the spindle is it not populated.
The pins that are populated in the spindle harness are
Pin 1- Blue
Pin 2 - Green
Pin 3 - Brown
Pin 10 - Green and Black (2 wires)
Pin 11 - White
Pin 12 - Red
Pins 1-3 are the outputs and that is not an issue.
What is the problem is pins 10-12 I am not sure what is going to be +24V and the 0V.
