Clearpath DriveOK inputs to Ether1616 with 5 motors 4 axis Configuration Question for Y-Slaved Motor

Post by RogDC »

As I am reconfiguring my Acorn/Clearpath control panel to add an Ether1616, I am attempting to run the Clearpath HLFB to the Ether1616 individual inputs for each motor for Drive faults.

I am configuring for 5 motors on 4 axis ( X,Y,Z,&A) slaving the Y axis and squaring manually. I previously had two 4-channel relay boards to daisy chain the HLFB to the one 'DriveOK' input on the Acorn.

My Motor Configurations are:
  • X Axis
  • Y Axis
  • Y-Slave Axis
  • Z-Axis
  • A-Axis

The inputs I can select from the Wizard are :
  • Axis 1 DriveOK
  • Axis 2 DriveOK
  • Axis 3 DriveOK
  • Axis 4 DriveOK

Will the Wizard allow an additional 'Axis 2 Drive OK' for the Axis 2 slaved motor to be configured or will I need to edit other machine input settings or the PLC source file for the Y-Slave motor DriveOK signal?

Thanks,
C
