I decided to upgrade motor tp clear path and build a next control box. With a clean sheet I fired it up and now can I not get the board to respond to an Estop
What I know:
1) the only connection to this board at present is the Estop. It is a NC switch which is working as verified by the on/off continuity. For demonstration purposes the attached Pic shows a simple wire hook up between ground and ENI 8. Switching between nc and no in wizard simply locks in estop on or off.. no change via the switch. multimeter shows a clear path to com.
2) centroid 4.5 is not giving any error message via the log
3) The voltage to board is at 24V the com to switch and the heart beat looks OK to me.
I have tried to boil this thing down to the basic and eni8 simply does source or sink on eni8. It is certainly something simple but I can not see it.
see attachments. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Re: back to basics
Do you have a +24v jumper going to the +24v terminal near the inputs?
Is that red wire going to 24IN or input 8?
I’d suggest pulling up the schematic and double checking that portion of the diagram.
Also, I see an exposed wire hanging right over your acorn. That is a big risk, weather it is 24v or common, electrical contact could fry the entire thing.

Re: back to basics
Yes , the red goes to input 8
The red wire is twisted to the black wire to simulate the esop connection to show the simplify the connection. I used the mushroom button on the spindle to test but its out view so I simply showed the connection in the picture

Re: back to basics
take a look at schematic #S14954 it shows the E stop circuit without a bunch of other stuff so its easy to understand.
