So I'm still trying to fully understand the auto squaring. I have clearpath SK motors on each Y axis and I'm using the cnc4pc c86accp with Y slaved. Can I do the hard stop homing with this configuration as I'd eventually like to utilize my A (4th) axis for a rotary in the future.

its a homing selection in the v5.0. Wizard. clearpath setup link to instructions is on same page.
set up c86 for hardware pair.

clearpath setup link to instructions here as well

Thank you Keith. Yeah I was looking at that documentation and just wanted to confirm I was understanding it correctly. I guess if set up correctly it is a pretty accurate repeatable way of homing. Would be nice to implement auto squaring and eliminate the need for homing sensors (switches) if I can. The cnc router I have (onefinity) originally came with stall homing and standard stepper motors, but that process wasn't very accurate.

yep! that's why we did it, documented it and added the feature to the Wizard, works great, no wires/switches to install or go bad and frees up 4th axis for rotary work and you still have autosquaring. you can have your cake and eat it too.

make a build thread and post info and photos of your project for others to see please. we need to get the word out.
