I've created a few simple macros and have saved them as mfunc101.mac through mfunc107.mac. I want to assign these to VCP skin events via the wizard, but the wizard doesn't pick them up. I have placed copies of them in both C:\cncm and C:\cncm\resources\wizard\default\macros , but still no joy. Where should they be stored?

Re: Wizard not aware of new macro files
I've wondered if I can do this as well.. I have a bunch of custom macros that I've run and I'm always worried that I'll end up using some obscure built in function. I once tried making one that was higher in number than the highest one and I don't think I was able to even call it from MDI.. that might be the root of the issue that Centroid will only recognize a certain number of macros.
Re: Wizard not aware of new macro files
See Chapter 13 of the mill operator's manual. You can write custom macros for M0 - M90 (with a few restrictions). M functions 91 and up are reserved for internal use.
If you cannot find a large enough block of M codes for your purposes, just delete some of the provided ones that you don't need. It's your control, after all.

Thank you! Found enough in the 40s and 70s and am good to go.
