Wizard Setup of HY VFD not successful

Post by tsoftwerks »

Moved this, sorry had it wrong channel before.

I ran the setup wizard to configure a simple control for HUAN YANG VFD as per schematic. The relay board is working fine, I can manually turn VFD on and OFF with the Alt-I inspection screen, but when i try the Spindle start button, the relay will not close, and the Alt-I Status LED in CNC12 stays RED, so I guess i am missing some logic somewhere. The Analog out is changing just fine. What am I missing, I have been searching and watching videos for hours and can't understand what I missed. If mapped SpinFWD and SpinREV to proper relays, shouldn't the virtual control panel be able to toggle the relays when i hit the spindle start button?

Thanks

make SURE you don't have a LINE under the output. That effectively disables the output.
Press Ctrl Alt F to get rid of it if its there.

Cool, now upgrade to 4.62...
My suggestion is to take screen shots of all your Wizard pages.
Then rename the current CNCM directory to CNCM - OLD
Do a fresh install of 4.62

Then hand copy in your machine settings to 4.62. This way you will know you have a fresh install.

You have your old CNCM install if you have to revert back. Just rename the directory back to CNCM

OH, Make a report before you start. Keep a copy of it and your old CNCM directory on a thumb drive.
