Would this computer get it done (AVID 4x8)

Title says it all. Would the computer linked below be enough to run an Acorn properly? The CPU is a dual core 4.0 GHZ, SSD, 8 GB DDR4. How do I know if the ethernet is shielded?

Here's a link to the Acorn minimum PC requirements: https://www.centroidcnc.com/cnc_pc_perf ... ments.html

The computer you linked to does meet the minimum requirements. Centroid requires you to use a shielded cable and one is provided in the Acorn kit. The port on most pc's is a shielded port but that's not what are referring to in the minimum specs.

Good deal. I figured it did. I saw the one they were selling for 1100 and was concerned. Thanks for the input on the cable. I know the ones with the metal sides are typically shielded. I just have never noticed that spec'd on a motherboard before.
