Finally making good progress on my Lathe. I've got the Z & X axis working & calibrated and the Spindle encoder is working. I'm
having a problem getting the spindle speed correct. If I input M3 S1000 the readout is 646rpm (voltage 5.36). If I input M3
S2000 the rpm is 1221 (voltage 10.25) both verified with a digital tachometer. I thought maybe the motor settings were wrong in
the VFD setup. The motor plate did not callout an RPM setting, it was 1450, I changed it to 1750 but no difference.
I can't believe I got this far, my electrical experience is red wire positive/black wire negative. I could have never done this
without all the help from this board and I really appreciate it. The other issue is getting the tool changer setup and I really
don't even know where to start.

Re: Spindle calibration & toolchanger
I'm glad you are making progress BUT you are WOEFULLY behind on the software revision. We are at 4.62
You are on 4.08!
Please take screen shots of all your Wizard tabs and then do a fresh install of 4.62 which can be found here:
https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... loads.html
(PS, the NEW Wizard is under F7 Utilities F10 Wizard)
Rename your CNCT directory to something like CNCT_4.08
Then do a fresh install.
Check out the Acorn Knowledge base. There is an article and tuning VFD's:
(4th from the top)
viewforum.php?f=63
Continued luck!

Re: Spindle calibration & toolchanger
Loaded the software update, but now the spindle will not start. When I input various speeds M3 S500, M3 S1000 the frequency readout changes accordingly, but no spindle movement. Could it be due to the newer boards using the breakout board? My early setup did not come with one.
Machine jogs the Z & X axis fine.

OK I got it. After typing the above post I found the settings for the outputs. All good now. Time to start cleaning up the wiring
