How to skip to specific line in .CNC file

Post by pmchoudek »

Hi there,

I would like to know if there is a function I can use to skip to a certain spot in the job file. The reasoning behind this is that there may be a fault in the middle of the job file, and the operator needs to reset the fault to continue.

Once the fault is cleared, they need go to where they left off. In the current setup, they have to restart the job file (.cnc file) entirely. There is product/time wasted in this current method.

For example: would using a "GOTO N009" in the MDI work if I wanted to resume the .cnc file at line 9? I think the MDI requires a macro input so probably not...

I was looking in the CNC12 mill operator manual and could not find what I was looking for.

If you have a solution for me, please advise. I have attached a report.

Thanks,
PC

Run, Search, type in line, block or tool change number, you can even graph it before running it.

"Run Menu" mill manual starting on Page 64

i also cover it in the training video.
