Change step sizes on the WMPG? (Resolved)

Post by ChrisAttebery »

I watched the Centroid CNC training video on YouTube over the weekend. I noticed that the step sizes on the control were set to tenths(1x), thousandths (10x) and hundredths (100x) of an inch. On the WMPG on my Acorn machine the step sizes refer to thousandths (1x,10x, 100x) is there a way to make it so that the steps refer to tenths instead? 100x thousandths setting on a machine that has 240IPM rapids is WAY too fast for me. I'll never use it. Moving a few tenths might come in handy though.

Thanks,

Chris

Parameter 40 controls the basic jog increment.
Cheers,

Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

I believe it is in the Wizard, bottom of the Axis configuration page:

Marty,

Thanks for your help too. I didn’t make that connection. I was thinking that it might be hard coded in the WMPG or something.

If you made a the change suggested by Tom, you should notice the value changed in the Axis Configuration Screen. There are some values that the Wizard will read from the PLC/Parameters when its loaded. There are some that are not and can be overwritten the next time a Save Configuration is done from the Wizard.
