I disconnected the Molex connections to the C86 board for the Y and Z motors and then set all axes on the C86 to OFF as well as the unused A axis
I plan to individually check each axis this way and see what happens.
I put in an email request to Arturo Duncan as well
Another thought I had is to not use the Molex connectors on the board but instead use the wire connections on the C86 board instead .
Let me say that I do appreciate the interest you've displayed.
Thank You,
Ron
You’re welcome. Wish I could’ve been more helpful. Also, I did not use the Molex connectors. I had the 55’ cables, cut them in half and wired direct to the terminals. Keep us updated.

@martyscncgarage Do you happen to have a parts list of this build anywhere? I am currently doing a retrofit and there are a few items in your cabinet I am looking for. I am running 110v, 2-EDR-120-24 PSU, Acorn, C86ACCP, IPC-5, 4-CPM-SDSK-2321S-RQN, power hub, and Huanyang 2.2kw water cooled VFD. I am wondering what a good contactor would be to use for this setup please.

Wondering if this would work for my setup?
Siemens 3RT20161BB41 CONTACTOR, AC-3, 4KW/400V, 1NO, DC 24V, 3-POLE, SZ S00 SCREW TERMINAL

That contactor is only rated for 9amps at 400vac.

You should find a contactor rated for the voltage and current you will be running through it. Current is based on the servo motor load.

The VFD power does not need to go through it, but the VFD COMmon should go through the auxillary NO contact. Please review the sample Acorn SYSTEM schematics.

Dudes ... your in luck ....

I can do your 3D CAD and make your bracket on a MarkForged print from a material called Onyx .... Strong and pretty high resolution at .100 mm thick layers ... That's .004" for you metric challenged people....

Can you give me a little input on the card ( website ) and how you wanted to mount it ? Were you thinking to use a DIN Rail mount possibly ...

FYI .... I have 40 + years in many CAD systems, but I am using Fusion 360 mainly today cause it rocks and allows you to do everything that you generally need it to do...

Waiting for a reply ....

I doubt anyone is din rail mounting the C86ACCP. It attaches to the Acorn board. Check out Martys build post and you'll see what was being talked about.

Ahh ... This makes more sense now .... Does anyone have dimensional prints or 3D CAD files of the two boards ? Either one i could work with to make some support brackets from ....

Let me know and post what you have ...

Thanks

Well ... Here is a bracket .... First kick at the can so to speak ...

Attached is a Jpeg screen capture ... Take a look and let me know what you think ....

I don't have all the pieces built yet on the CNC4PC board but the dimensions of the board and the hole locations are per the drawing sent to me...

If you like it or have suggestions let me know and I can tweak it some more.

Brian

Looks good so far. If you want to send me the file to print on my own machine using just the regular material, I’ll do it and install it and send you pictures and feedback on it. Here is a pic of my control box where I would mount it.
